
Since I closed the account without ever using any service I expected there would be no issues, how wrong I was. Asking to speak with a manager is near impossible.

The agents you speak with have no authority to deal with your issue and I have never been called back. Usually there is a 45 minute wait and multiple levels of verification. Calling Verizon is an experience I don’t wish on anyone. When I saw this and was unable to remove the setup fee I immediately cancelled Verizon FiOS without ever using the service. Upon speaking with them I learned that I was being charged for setup and there was a host of other items included in my first invoice, added and subtracted to equal the $39.99. He agreed that I met the conditions for the free setup but not the billing department. The technician arrived and installed FiOS.
